John "Jack" G. Tropp

        John “Jack” Tropp Jr., 68, of Pottsville, formerly of Fleetwood,  passed away unexpectedly December 13^th.

      Born in Pottsville, March 27, 1949, he was the son of the late John G. and Verna Tropp.

      Jack was a graduate of Minersville Area High School and Penn State, University Park.

      In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother –in-law, Duane Derricott.

     Jack is survived by his son, John G. Tropp III and his wife Jodi, Pottsville, two granddaughters, Elizabeth Tropp and Jeanette Tropp; a grandson, Nathan Tropp; his sister, Darlene Derricott; a niece Deann Derricott and his former wife, Patricia Tropp, Fleetwood.

     Jack was never happier than he was with his dogs or outdoors. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, Pottsville, Pa. 17901; Hawk Mountain Sanctuary, 1700 Hawk Mountain Road, Kempton, Pa. 19529 or similar organizations. Contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.

    As per Jack’;s wishes, there will be no viewing. A graveside service for friends and family will be held Tuesday at 10:30AM  at Mount Peace Cemetery, Minersville.
