Sharon Ann “Sappy” Plesnarski passed away Monday afternoon at her home.
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Dorothy Plesnarski.
She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. She was a graduate of St. Stanislaus Grade School and Minersville High School. She wasa graduate of the VOTECH Culinary Arts Program. She worked in the local food service industry as a cook and waitress. Lately, she was a Job Coach for mentally challenged individuals. She participated on the former Polish Day Committee of St. Stanislaus Church as well as its’ Flea Market and Soup Kitchen.
She is survived by 2 daughters, Dorothy and her husband Anthony Bugdanavage, Buck Run and Anna Emery, Pottsville; 2 sons, John Petroshunis and his wife Holly, Shenendoah Heights and Leo Schappe Jr. and his wife Shawna, Deer Lake; 9 grandchildren, Alyssa and Ashley Emery, Britany and Kaleb Bugdanavage, and Steven, Jenna, Lily, Kati and Cam Petrushonis; 2 sisters, Diane Barton, Jonestownand Beverly Hutzel and her husband Nick, Jonestown; 3 brothers, Stanley Plesnarski and his wife Donna, Redaing, Robert Plesnarski and his wife Toni, Black Heath and Richard Plesnarski and his wife Michele, Minersville; nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and memaw, many “adopted” grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville at 10 AM Friday morning. Relatives and friends may call at Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville on Thursday evening from 6 to 9PM. Internment will be in St Stanislaus #2 Cemetery, Minersville.
