George G. Miller Sr.

   George G. Miller Sr., 81, formerly of Frackville, passed away early Tuesday evening at Manorcare, Pottsville.

    Born in Tower City, he was a son of the late Harvey and Gertrude Miller.

     He was retired having worked as a foreman for Zapata Industries in Frackville and also as an extruder operator for Honeywell. He was of the Protestant faith.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean War.  He loved woodworking which was his lifelong hobby. 

    In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, the former Gertrude Davis; also a brother Russell Miller.

   He is survived by a son, George Miller Jr. and his wife Debra, Pottsville; a sister, Barbara Pennycoff; 3 brothers, Lloyd, Harvey and Irwin Miller; nieces and nephews.

   Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Frackville. The family prefers remembrances of George in the form of contributions to the Hillside SPCA, P.O. Box 233, 51 SPCA Rd., Pottsville, Pa. 17901.
