Jesse Stickell, 51, of Pottsville, passed away suddenly May 22 in Decatur, Illinois.
Born in Hershey, he was the son of the late Margaret Novotny Stickell.
Jesse was a 1985 graduate of Minersville Area High School. He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville. He was a member of Iron Workers Local 420 and worked for the White Construction Co. of Indiana as a superintendent. He traveled for the last 11 years through over 10 states and in Canada constructing wind farms. He was devoted to his wife and children and his greatest joy was spending time with them.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his stepfather Lester Smith.
He is survived by his wife, the former Kimberly Ann Kopinetz; a son, Jesse Cooper Stickell, Pottsville; 2 daughters, Kayla Ann Stickell, Chambersburg and Jade Elizabeth Stickell, Pottsville; 4 sisters, Terry Martin, Pottsville, Wendy Stone, Virginia, Cathy Groody, Ashland, and Joni Rutecky, Pottsville; nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning from 7 to 10:30 AM at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Saturday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St, Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus #2 Cemetery, Minersville.
The family would prefer remembrances of Jesse in the form of contributions for the continued education of their youngest daughter Jade Elizabeth Stickell.
