Robert M. Kopinetz, 73, of Primrose, passed away Wednesday morning at the Rosewood Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Schuylkill Haven
Born in Pottsville, on January 28, 1945, he was a son of the late Walter and Stella Katchmarzyk Kopinetz.
He was a graduate of the former Cass Twp. High school. He was retired and had worked as a bricklayer for Russell, Trumbo and Russell and was a plant manger at Wright’s Knitwear Corp. He was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death this past year by 2 brothers, John Kopinetz and Ronald Kopinetz.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, the former Jeanine Pukas; 2 sons, Christopher Kopinetz, Lower Salem, Ohio and Anthony Kopinetz and his wife Joanna, York, Pa.; 3 grandsons, Codie Kopinetz, Lancaster, Pa., Tanner Kopinetz, Kew Gardens, N.Y. and Travis Kopinetz, York, Pa; 2 brothers Michael and his wife Mary Ann, Woodside and David and his wife Janet, Forestville; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM Friday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday morning from 10 to 11 AM. Interment will be in private at the convenience of the family.
