Barbara Ann (McNellis) Jefferson

Barbara Ann Jefferson, 76, of Jonestown, passed away Friday July 11, 2025 at LVHN Cedar Crest. Born in Pottsville April 1, 1949, she was a daughter of the late William and Olga (Samec) McNellis. She was a 1967 graduate of Minersville High School, going on to work as a Machine Operator at Jetson Mail and also a secretary for Dr. Kay Berner in Minersville. She was a member of Holy Family Parish of Minersville, St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church.

She is Survived by her Husband of 53 years Robert C. Jefferson; 2 Sons Jason Jefferson of Minersville; Jeremy Jefferson of Black Heath; 3 Sisters Janet Markovich and her husband James of FL; Marie Thornburg and her husband Kevin of Pottsville; Carol White and her husband Wilbur of Black Heath; 2 Grandchildren Taylor Jefferson and Jeremy Jefferson Jr.; sister -in-law Lois Link; Nieces, Nephews and Cousins.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Noon Thursday July 17, 2025 from St. Michael the Archangel Roman Catholic Church 539 Sunbury St. Minersville, PA 17954. Rev. Jojappa Adagalta will be officiating. Friends may call from 10:30am until Noon at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the church memorial fund at the above address or Hillside SPCA PO Box 233 Pottsville, PA 17901. Burial will be at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
