Catherine Brilla, 95, of West West Terrace, passed away peacefully Saturday morning surrounded by her loving family at St. Luke’s Hospital, Orwigsburg.
Born in Duncott, she was a daughter of the late William and Verna Shepler Jefferson.
She was educated in the Minersville schools. Catherine was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of the former St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Minersville and a member of St. Matthew’s Church of Holy Family Parish, Minersville.
She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley;, a son-in-law Todd Evans; a sister Jean Kuehn and 7 brothers, Harold, Robert, LeRoy, Oliver, Joseph, Charles and Carl Jefferson.
Catherine is survived by 2 daughters, Mary Beth Reta and her husband Tom, New Jersey and Michelle Evans, Minersville; a sister Mae Andrews, Pottsville; 7 grandchildren, Lucas Dellamonica, Taryn Ney, Sasha Alvarado and her husband Tony, Kyana Picciotti and her fiancé TJ Kracsun, Logan Picciotti and his fiance Bailey Malik, Kaitlyn Walker and her husband Jacob and Teisha Kull; 6 great grandchildren, Ryan, Jayden, Jasper, Talulah, Brayden, and Aubrey; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville at 11 AM Thursday morning. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville on Thursday morning from 7AM to 10:30 AM. Interment will be in Mt. Peace Cemetery, Minersville.
