Catherine Miller, 95,of Minersville, passed away Saturday at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville..
Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late John and Ann Yaworski Demcher.
She was a retired hair dresser and was a graduate of the former Cass Twp High School. She was a member of St. Nicholas Ukranian Catholic Church, Minersville..
Catherine was a woman with devout faith and believed “ Everything was going to be OK”. Her love for the Blessed Mother led her to visit Medigorgia.
Her annual trips to the Divine Mercy Shrine brought her much happiness. She enjoyed cooking, baking and sharing her bread pies. apple dumplings and Christmas cookies. Her generous heart was felt by many.
A caring mother, grandmother, great grandmother, Catherine will be greatly missed.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Stephen in 2023 and a brother John Demcher and a sister Marie Drasdis Koval.
Surviving is a son Stephen Miller and his wife Cynthia, Plano, TX., Maryanne Marshall and her husband Bob, Minersville, a son Robert Miller, Orwigsburg; 4 grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan and Vaughan Marshall and Allison McClean and her husband Brendon; 4 great grandchildren, Jocelyn, Tyson, Alexa and Sonny;
a sister, Ann Plachko, St. Clair and several nieces and nephews.
Requiem Divine Liturgy will be at 11AM in St. Nicholas Ukranian Catholic Church, 415 Front St, Minersville on Thursday. Friends may call at the Church on Thursday morning from 9:30AM until the time of the service.
Internment in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery will be at the convenience of the family. The family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to the St. Nicholas Ukranian Catholic Church Memorial Fund. Contributions will be accepted by the funeral home.
