Eric Skibiel

Eric Skibiel, 56, of Pottsville passed away Saturday at his home

Born in Pottsville, he was a son of the late Edward and Violet Grigalonis Skibiel.

He was a graduate of Minersville Area High School. He was a member of St. Matthew’s Church of Holy family Parish, Minersville.

Eric was an avid sports fan and collector of sports memorabilia. He loved to follow professional and college sports. He could give you the odds on the next big game. He also was a stamp collector. He was willing to be in a joke and would never turn down a good meal. He loved and enjoyed spending time with his nieces and nephews.

  He is survived by 3 brothers, Edward and his wife Cherie, Orwigsburg, Steven and his wife Tina, Hechersville and Mark and his wife Lauren, Atlanta Ga.; nieces and nephews.

   A Funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 AM from the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St. Minersville. Relatives and friends can call at the Funeral Home on Thursday from 8AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus #2 cemetery, Minersville.
