Florence Mae Whalen, 96, of Brier City passed away at her home with her family by her side.
Born in Brier City, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Florence Orf Tropp..
She attended the Brier City school and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Minersville..
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Walter, 3 brothers, Rev. Lawrence R. Tropp, John Tropp and Don Tropp; also a sister Gloria Tropp..
Surviving is a sister, Gloria Goodman, Brier City; nieces and nephews..
A Funeral Service will be held Friday morning at 11 AM from the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St. Minersville. Relatives and friends may call at the Funeral Home on Friday morning from 9AM until the time of the service. Private Interment will be in Mt. Peace Cemetery, Minersville.
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers contributions in memory of Florence Mae to the Zion Lutheran Church, 4th and Lewis Sts., Minersville. Contributions for the Church will also be accepted at the Funeral Home.
