Jeanne E. (Daggett) Gauntlett

    Jeanne E. Gauntlett, 87, of Newtown, passed away late Thursday night at the Schuylkill Center, Pottsville.

    Born in Pottsville, she was a daughter of the late George and Lillian Roach Daggett.

  Jeanne attended Reilly Twp. schools and was a graduate of the former Reilly Twp. High School. She was a member of the former Sacred Heart Church, Newtown and was a member of Blessed Trinity Church, Tremont.

   She was preceded in death by her husband Phillip Paul Gauntlett in 2010; 2 sisters, Eileen Fleming and Mary Minnichbach and a brother Thomas Daggett.

   She is survived  by her son Paul Gauntlett and his wife Theresa, Pottsville; 4 grandchildren, Trevor, Brent, Haley and Alyssa Gauntlet;  a sister, Irma Witheldor, Folsom, Pa.; nieces and nephews.

   The Funeral Service will be held at 11AM Wednesday from The Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St.., Minersville.  Rev. David Loeper  will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday morning from  9AM until the time of the service. Private interment at the convenience of the family will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville.

     The family would prefer remembrances of Jeanne in the form of contributions to the American Cancer Society, 101 West Frack St., Frackville, Pa. 17931.
