John Lenick

John Lenick, 78, of Newtown, passed away peacefully at his home Friday October 27, 2023.

Born in Pottsville January 23, 1945, he was the son of the late Andrew and Mabel (Katchmark) Lenick.

He graduated from Cass Township High School, after which he proudly served his country in the Army in the Vietnam War.  He received 2 Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star for his bravery John was a retired auto worker for General Motors.

He was Preceded in death by four brothers Ted, Fred, Michael and Leon Lenick.

He is survived by his loving wife of 56 years  Judy; Two Sons that he was proud of  Chris and his Companion Lynne Neal of Pine Grove; John Lenick and his wife Diane of Phoenix Park; Granddaughter Jaycee Lenick whom he loved and was so proud of.  Two Brothers William Lenick and his wife Mary of Wilmington, DE; Francis Lenick and his wife Janythe of Tampa, FL; Nieces and Nephews.

Per John’s wishes funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.  Donald Butler Funeral Home, Minersville, is entrusted with the arrangements.  In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Disabled American Veterans (DAV) at PO Box 14301, Cincinnati,OH 45250 or dav.org.
