Judith Guyeski Obituary

Judith Marie (Donahue) Guyeski, age 85, of St. Clair, PA, passed away peacefully on December 15th, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Born in Branch Dale, PA on September 9th,1939, she was a daughter of the late Martin “Pete” and Doris (Bowers) Donahue.

Judith grew up in Branch Dale and attended St. Mary Star of the Sea Grade School. She was a 1957 graduate of Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville, PA. She was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair, PA.

Judith had various jobs at different times in her life, working in the garment industry, at an insurance agency and in retail. By far, her most important and cherished job was that of a homemaker. Judith raised her four children in Minersville. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren just as much as her own children. She always made their time together fun by playing games that she created, having picnics, going to the playground and having sleepovers. She would always be making something to eat but, by far, the favorite by all, were her famous pancakes with a secret ingredient that made them the best pancakes that you would ever eat.

Judith also loved her Irish heritage and enjoyed having family over for St Patrick Day celebrations with shenanigans, wearing everything green and making homemade Irish recipes. She loved to attend the annual St Patrick’s Day parade in Pottsville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Guyeski and her sister, Maureen Biss.

Judith is survived by her three sons, Thomas (Mary) Rinaldo III, Sinking Spring, Jeffrey Rinaldo, Minersville, Richard (Tracey) Rinaldo, Minersville and her daughter, Michele (Charles) Compton West Chester, PA; 10 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren; two brothers, John Donahue and Martin (Joanne) Donahue; nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday December 20th from 7-9pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday December 21st at 10AM St. Clare of Assisi Church, St. Clair. Mon. William Glosser will officiate. Relatives and friends can call at the Church from 9AM until the time of the service. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.
