Karen Comfort, 65, of Pottsville, passed away Saturday at Ridgeview Nursing Home, Shenandoah.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John and Joyce Chalfant Ressler.
She was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School. Karen managed the former Necho Allen, The Pottsville Club, The Quality Hotel Dining Room and before retiring, she worked at Vito’s Coal Fired.
Karen always had a smile and thought the best of everyone. She enjoyed cooking, catering, and vacationing on the Chesapeak with her family. Undoubtedly, she well be missed by many but mostly by her loving husband Brian who celebrated 17 years of marriage together
She is survived by her husband Brian; a sister-in-law Christine Black; a nephew, Jared Black, South Carolina: She loved her pets, Romeo, Fiona and Lucy and was a lifetime collector of her favorite make believe Disney character, Winnie the Pooh.
Private services are at the convenience of the family. Interment will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, Annville, Pa. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
