Lois A. Weiser, 77, of Minersville, passed away late Thursday evening at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville surrounded by her family and losing her battle with cancer.
Born in Pottsville, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Loren Weimer Grace Sr.
She was a graduate of St. Pius 10th High School, Pottstown. She was a member of the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, the Ladies Auxiliary for the Minersville Rescue Hook and Ladder Fire Co., the Minersville Spark Committee, the Irish Ceili Dancers and a former Cub Scout leader. She was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Church of Holy Family parish, Minersville. Lois was a dedicated homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by 2 daughters, Kathy Wesler Manley and Kelly Wesler Moser and a grandson, Justin Betts.
She is survived by her husband, David B. Weiser; 2 daughters, Kolleen Wesler Putalavage and her husband Vince and Kerri Wesler/ Pemberth and her husband Tom; a son, Kevin Weiser; 7 grandchildren Chelsea Baxter and her husband Terrell, Tim Manley, Jr., Ashley Havlow, Kim Moser, Aaron Putalavage, Blake Wesler and Jayden Weiser; 6 great grandchildren Terrell Jr., Grace Anna and Elias Baxter, and Alia, Chasity and Ava Moser; 2 sisters, Barbara Schlegal and her husband Jim and Marylou Grace Harbach: a brother Leo Grace Jr. and his wife Fran; nieces and nephews.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 AM in St. Michael the Archangel Church of Holy Family Parish, 539 Sunbury St., Minersville. Rev. Jason Stokes will officiate. Relatives and friends may call at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St. Minersville on Wednesday morning from 8AM to 9:30 AM. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
