Patricia E. Leonard

Patricia E. Leonard, 80, of Black Heath, passed away Friday morning at Schuylkill Medical Center -East, Pottsville.

  Born in Philadelphia she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth  Reynolds Loughran.

 She was a graduate of  Nativity BVM High School, Pottsville and a 1963 graduate of Sacred Heart Nursing School. She was a member of St. Michael’s Church of Holy Family Parish, Minersville. She was a registered nurse for 50 years having worked as an occupational nurse and at both of the Pottsville Hospitals. She was a member of the Northeast Pennsylvania Nurses Association, Wilkes-Barre.

 She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jon Leonard; a daughter Judith wife of John Rizzardi, Pine Grove; 2 sons, John and his wife Jessica, Forestville and Jeffrey, Danville; 6 grandchildren, Devon, Kristin and Danielle Shaak and Jade, Jewel and Jack.Leonard.

 Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Tuesday in St. Michael’s Church of Holy Family Parish, 539 Sunbury St. Minersville. Rev. Jason Stokes will officiate. Relatives and friends can call Tuesday morning from 8AM to 10AM at the Donald J. Butler Funeral Home, 328 Sunbury St., Minersville. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Hillside.

In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer remembrances in the form of contributions to either the Holy Family Memorial Fund or the St. Vincent De Paul Society, 538 Sunbury St, Minersville, Pa. 17954.
