Rosalie Garrity, 69, of Minersville, passed away Thursday morning at her home.
Born in Frackville, she was a daughter of the late George T. and Rose K. Swaldi Bracey.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed caring for her family and dog Elvis. She was a graduate of North Schuylkill High School and was of the Catholic Faith.
Rosalie was an avid Little League fan and loved watching her grandchildren playing sports. She was the proud mother of “4 Boys”.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Loreen Garrity and a sister Barbara Wood.
She is survived by her husband of 50 years, William Garrity; 4 sons, William and his wife Ginger, St. Clair, Anthony and his wife Deborah, Minersville, Brian, Schoentown and Shawn, Schoentown; 9 grandchildren, Tobi Lynn Garrity, Logan Seamus Garrity, Liam Richard Garrity, Amber Bohn, Sarah Johnston, Matthew Johnston, Chelsey Johnston, Mark Galen and Alyson Galen; numerous great grandchildren; and a brother George “Deuce” Bracey.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday at 11AM in St. Clare of Assisi Church, 250 E. Hancock St. St. Clair. Relative and friends may call at the Church, on Wednesday from 9 AM until the time of the Mass. Interment will be in St. Casmir’s Cemetery, East Norwegian Twp.
In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer remembrances of Rosalie in the form of contributions to the Port Carbon Little League, P.O. Box 135, Port Carbon, Pa. 17965. Contributions will also be accepted at the funeral home.
