Ruth M. (Weir) Puches

Ruth M. Puches, 96, formerly of Branchdale, passed away Monday evening at the York TerraceGolden Living Center, Pottsville.

    Born in Branchdale, she was a daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Devers Weir.

    Ruth was educated in the Reilly Twp schools. She was a homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. She was a member of the former St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, Branchdale and was a member of St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, Minersville.

     She was preceded in death  by her husband Albert; a sister Florence Volk and 5 brothers, William Weir, Arthur Weir, Russell Weir, Wesley Weir and Melvin Weir.

     She is survived by 3 daughters, Ruth Averill, Pottsville, Ellen Wright and her husband T.L., Seaford, De.and Ann Fountain and her husband Don, Orlando Fla.; a son Al Puches, Reading, Conn.; 7 grandchildren, Brian, Eric and Laura Puches, Emily and Natalie Wright, Meredith Averill and Andrew Fountain; nieces and nephews.

       Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10AM Friday in St. Matthew the Evangelist Church, 139 Spruce St., Minersville. Rev. Leo J. Maletz will officiate. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning form 9AM to 10AM at the Church. Interment will be in St. Mary Star of the Sea  Cemetery, Llewellyn. The Donald J.
